Springtime Choppers

One of the best things about childhood is helicopters. Next to bubble wrap and Slip 'n Slide, tossing Maple tree seeds into the air and watching as they give in to gravity and spin to the ground is a true joy that, for me, has never ended. David, Madeleine, Ava and I just came back from a walk and about a block from home we hit the helicopter jackpot. In front of Maddie's friend's house, the sidewalk was carpeted with those little spring toys - she and I scooped up handfuls and tossed them into the air the rest of the way home. Madeleine said that for her next birthday party she wants a pinata filled with them. Okay by me!
